It’s the first week of November, the Halloween decorations have all come down (thankfully that includes the fake spiderweb complete with plastic spiders that’s been strung across lily’s bunk bed for the past month!) and so it’s time to start thinking about the ‘C’ word… no not that ‘C’ word, although I am quite partial to it, and nope not that ‘C’ word either thankfully!
I mean Christmas of course!
Anyone who knows me, or follows me on Instagram will know that Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons but Christmas, well Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year.
What could be better than spending time with family and friends, decorating the whole house, exchanging gifts, sipping mulled wine, having so many social events that your diary is
double triple booked, a roast dinner with ALL the trimmings, and a house that smells like pine, cinnamon and clementines? The answer is, of course, NOTHING!
I’m quite a materialistic person; yes yes I know it’s not what Christmas is all about, but I wouldn’t believe anyone if they said they don’t like giving and receiving presents – what kind of person dislikes receiving presents (unless of course their tribe are useless present buyers)? Luckily for me the people who get me gifts are normally spot on with their choices but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to leave some major hints for them on the blog.
