Tisno – Our Croatian Minibreak – Part Two

On Saturday I shared Part One of our minibreak in Croatia here so check that out if you haven’t already!

As you can imagine the Sunday morning after our time at the Beats, Beer and Boogaloo festival was pretty subdued – we slept in, packed our stuff and headed out for breakfast and a swim.

Jana Ice Tea

I was obsessed with this peach iced tea the entire holiday by the way – so refreshing and available everywhere in Tisno.

Breakfast was a pretty chilled affair (or at least it was until my Dad and his friend turned up looking way too awake for people who had also stumbled home in the early hours!). I have it on good authority that the CRAMBLED eggs were tasty 😉

I mentioned over brekkie that I really wanted to go to the Krka National Park as it was about 40 minutes away, luckily my dad had hired a car for the weekend so we all grabbed our things, piled in and made the trip out to the park. I’m really glad that we did as it was incredible.

I’ll do a full post on our visit to Krka during the week but just look at these pics for a teaser!

Walking down from where we parked our car we came across this beautiful sandy beach that was being made full use of by the locals. It’s worth driving further up the hill to a smaller car park that is just 50kna a day compared to the ones nearer the tourist centre (they charge at least double!) and it’s a very short, pleasant walk down to the marina.

We spent the day swimming, sunbathing and relaxing and then made the drive back to Tisno to shower and go for one last meal and drinks in the pretty town centre. We tried some local delicacies, drank a few radlers and then found ourselves at a beach bar drinking cocktails and relaxing.

And just like that our minibreak in Tisno was over – our car picked us up (LATE!) the next morning and transferred us back to the airport where another *quite bumpy* plane journey took us back to Glasgow.
